11. Website and App Analytics, Advertising, and Consent
On easeout.net, necessary first-party cookies store the visitor’s privacy preferences and, when advertising is declined, a signal to suppress Microsoft advertising measurement for up to 180 days. These cookies do not contain a name, email address, or advertising identifier. When the available advertising providers change, we may ask visitors to make a new privacy choice.
With analytics consent, Google Tag Manager may load Google Analytics 4 to measure website visits and interactions. With advertising consent, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising’s Universal Event Tracking (UET) may measure campaign visits and conversions. Measurement data may include page URLs, interaction and conversion events, device and browser information, approximate location, online identifiers, and advertising click identifiers. This data is shared with the relevant measurement provider; names, email addresses, and contact-form messages are not included in our conversion events.
easeout communicates analytics and advertising choices to enabled measurement tags. Optional analytics tags require analytics consent; optional advertising tags, including Microsoft UET, require advertising consent before loading. When advertising consent is withdrawn, this website updates the consent signals, sets a Microsoft measurement-suppression preference, and removes accessible first-party advertising measurement cookies, Microsoft measurement storage, and stored campaign attribution. This does not erase data already received by a provider or cookies on a provider’s own domain.
When a visitor with advertising consent opens the easeout Teams app from a campaign landing page, easeout may pass a short-lived campaign reference, advertising click identifiers, UTM parameters, and the applicable consent state through the Microsoft Teams deep link. The Teams app uses this information only to connect account creation, trial activation, or subscription activation with the originating campaign. The reference is stored for the browser session and does not contain a name or email address.
The Teams app asks separately about optional analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising measurement (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising). Both start disabled; website choices and Teams-link metadata do not authorize app tracking. The app remembers your choices for up to 180 days in local browser storage for its own web address. If that storage is unavailable, your choice lasts only for the current app session.
You can change or withdraw the app’s choices through “Privacy preferences” in the app. After advertising permission is withdrawn, a later grant takes effect when the app is reopened. On the website, a later advertising grant takes effect on the next full page load.
Consent is voluntary and may be changed or withdrawn at any time through “Cookie Settings” in the website footer. Google’s privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Microsoft processes the measurement data it receives as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
